Dr. Mengyi Zheng received the M.Sc. and Ph.D degrees from University of Glasgow, Scotland, UK, in 2011 and 2017, in Psychological Studies and Psychological Medicine respectively. Mengyi Zheng has been with School of Sociology, China University of Political Science and Law, Beijing, China, as a Lecturer since August 2018.
Her research interests include mental health and well-being, social work practice, and psychosocial therapy. Her main clinical and research interest is in the area of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and in particular in looking at ways of disseminating this approach more widely. She has translated and localized written and computer-based self-help treatments for anxiety, depression and low mood, and is a counsellor and CBT researcher. She has developed a number of self-help packages addressing low mood, depression and anxiety - details of which are available at www.llttf4china.com.
