On December 7, the award ceremony of the 8th Shiheng·Xingzhengde Young Scholars Support Program was held in Beijing. Experts and scholars from Peking University, Tsinghua University, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, Fudan University, Sun Yat-Sen University, Sanlian Bookstore, etc., and 10 young scholars, representatives of public welfare organizations, and representatives of business circles who received project support from 9 universities across the country participated in the event.
Associate Professor Zhang Guowang from the Department of Sociology of our college was successfully selected into the list of the "Eighth Shiheng·Xingzhengde Young Scholars Support Program".
The Shiheng Young Scholars Support Program was established in 2012 to provide support for young scholars in the humanities and ideology-related majors of universities across the country. The program selects 10 national outstanding young scholars every year, and a total of 79 people have been selected so far. The project adopts an expert recommendation system, based on the principles of academic priority and character integration. At present, the amount of support for each young scholar is 30,000 yuan.
