The Sociology Class 1901 held the "Hundred Years of Faith·Youth"party history learning and education theme class meeting and also the theme group day activities in the conference room B309 of the main building of the Changping campus on May 25th. . Vice President Li Shuangchen, Party Secretary Yang Xuezhi of the School of Social Sciences, Secretary of the Youth League Committee Sandy, Party Secretary Wang Chaoqun, Undergraduate Counselor Tang Mingze, Graduate Union Party Branch Secretary Wang Tianyi and all students from Class 1901 participated in the activity. In the first part of the activity "tell the story of the party history", four students Chi Xingrufei, Ding Chaofan, Deng Xunhan, and Wu Xiaopeng shared the "Calmless Martyr Zhao Yiman", "The Loyal Senior Huang Deyao" and "Lin Shuishi, a hero who sacrificed his life to serve the country, and the "Belt of the Belt" that remembered bitterness and sweetness, these vanguard heroes and arduous long march stories named in the history of the party. The four classmates presented vivid heroes one after another, and sections of touching revolutionary history. The second session was "Party History Video Sharing". Participating members watched a video on the theme of "The Party was founded a hundred years ago, the original intention remains unchanged". In the impassioned music and touching historical silhouettes, everyone seems to have returned to the era of thorny guns and relived the struggle of the Communist Party of China and New China from scratch, from the beginning to the glory.
After watching the video, everyone was still in the mood. They spoke enthusiastically and expressed their thoughts. Zhang Zhiling also shared an old revolutionary poem for everyone.
It was in May. After the second session was over, the activity also proceeded to the third "May Poems". Four students brought sentimental poetry recitations. The first is Liu Yiran and Yang Liu recite the "July 1 Poems". Their sonorous and powerful poems show the hardship, passion and glory of the party and the motherland along the way. Afterwards, Wu Yifan and Zhao Yan brought "A Little Poem". Although it was called "Little Poem", everyone felt their deep feelings for the party and the motherland in their golden and sonorous reading voices.
After the wonderful poem reading session, everyone's emotions were already high, and this event also came to the climax of the session-the joint chorus song "My Motherland and Me". After the chorus was over and the event came to an end, Li Shuangchen gave a speech on the theme of "All-round development of morality, intelligence, physical education, art and labor, to be a newcomer of the era".
He emphasized that to be a socialist builder and successor with comprehensive development of morality, intelligence, physical education, art, and labor is a motto written into the party's educational policy. On this basis, the new era proposes to be an era worthy of the task of national rejuvenation. The newcomer's slogan is closely related to the times and individuals. He elaborated on the five aspects of "ethics, intelligence, physical fitness, and labor". In terms of "morality", we should insist on "improving political standing", "emphasizing patriotism" and "strengthening value guidance." He pointed out that to improve political standing, we must fully study Xi Jinping’s thoughts on socialism with Chinese characteristics in the new era, and deeply understand its rich connotations. Aiming at the deep-rooted patriotism, he said that patriotism is the foundation of the Chinese nation’s life and safety, and it has been our nation from ancient times to the present. An indelible main thread is also endowed with the characteristics of the times today; in strengthening value guidance, he exemplified the role of value guidance, emphasizing that the important content of studying party history is to continue the red gene and inherit lofty ideals and beliefs. Values lead a long way to go, and young people must be more responsible. In terms of "intelligence", Li Shuangchen gave four suggestions for the construction of the sociology discipline and the direction of the students' efforts. The first is to have a generous basic knowledge, the second is to have distinct discipline characteristics, and the third is to be closely connected with reality. Fourth, we must scientifically innovate thinking.
