At 2 pm on June 17, 2021, the graduation ceremony and degree awarding ceremony of the 2021 graduates of the School of Social Sciences of China University of Political Science and Law was successfully held in the Liu Huangfa Academic Lecture Hall. Party committe secretary Yang Xuezhi, vice dean Wang Guofang, vice dean Yang Qingmei, dean of the department of Psychology Zhang Zhuo, deputy dean of the Department of Sociology Zhang Guowang, Deputy Dean of the Department of Social Work and Social Policy Jiang Haiyan, faculty and staff representatives of the School of Sociology and all of 2021 graduates attended the graduation ceremony. The ceremony was presided over by Wang Chaoqun, Party Secretary of the School of Social Sciences and Counselor of 2017 undergraduates.

The graduation ceremony began with singing the national anthem. First of all, associate professor Yang Qingmei, vice dean of the School of Sociology, announced the decision of China University of Political Science and Law to approve the graduation of 2021 undergraduates, masters and doctoral students of the School of Sociology. The undergraduate graduate student Li Shu took the stage to speak. She said that when she came to the School of Sociology in 2017, she had a longing for university life and her curiosity about the subject of sociology. In the past four years, the School of Sociology has witnessed their growth, brought them warmth, and recorded their most true and gorgeous appearance when they were young. At the time of parting, she will represent all graduates in the future to keep in mind the motto of "righteousness and reasonableness, contribute to society", shoulder the responsibility of community members, and step into the next new stage of life.

Master's graduate representative Tsang Yuze looked back at her career as a graduate student. She expressed her sincere gratitude to the School of Sociology and the teachers who taught her carefully. She promised that at the centenary of the founding of the Communist Party of China, she would correct her heart with "faith", correct her intelligence with "knowledge", correct her behavior with "diligence", keep "great wisdom" and shoulder "great responsibility". After experiencing all the life of creating meaning, liberating meaning and sublimating meaning, she becomes a person who achieves self-meaning in the process of realizing social meaning.

Ph.D. graduate student Xu Yin said that during the time he was studying for a master's degree and a doctoral degree in the School of Sociology, he witnessed the rapid development of our school from the angle of students. From the school of Sociology and all the teachers in the school of Sociology, he has gained the positive power of wisdom, adulthood and dealing with things. He encouraged everyone pool in future face in prosperity or adversity always pursue beautiful and sincere life, to guard their own heart and the bottom line of virtue.

Later, Ms. Jiang Haiyan, the teacher's representative of the School of Sociology, spoke to the graduates. She hoped that the students would stop and analyze whether they were involved in the "High Pursuit" when they felt tired and anxious in the future. In fact, there is no end to the high pursuit，and there is no end to money, power, and status. If you think you just want to be better, you will eventually find that there will always be someone better than you in this world. Moreover, the High Pursuit is destined to be a game for others. Whether it is for the wishes of your parents or for the approval of others, it will fill your world with all kinds of other people's voices and all kinds of comparative anxiety. Your voice will become weaker and weaker until you are overwhelmed, and then you have to put the power of your own life in the hands of others. Everyone is a unique existence in this world. Don't dedicate your life to the so-called standard model that does not exist. Living every day down to earth is the essence of life. No matter what you encounter in the future, always believe that each of you is treasure, and the treasure digger is yourself.

Then, Associate Professor Yang Qingmei, the vice dean of the School of Sociology, delivered a graduation speech. She believed that all the teachers in the School of Sociology did their best to give everyone a little bit of enlightenment and to help everyone understand the word "common sense". "Common sense" is simple. From the perspective of sociology and anthropology, generally speaking, what is "common sense"? "Common sense" is knowledge that is used daily but not known by oneself, or "tacit knowledge". There is a slight difference between the two. Knowledge that is “daily use but not known by oneself ” is actually a set of Confucian national education after the Song Confucian transformation. The so-called "At the age of eight, children from princes to common people all enter the school. They teach them the principles of life and communication, and all aspects of knowledge." But if common sense only ends here, then we are another stage of high school education. The more you care about yourself, the more you care about your immediate interests, and the less you can be considerate of others. The more you release your vitality and pursue your life will, on the contrary, you can relieve yourself from the difficulties of reality. The students of the School of Sociology are the loveliest, the most simple and the most respectful of life among the college students she has ever met. She believes that the graduates of the School of Sociology will have the ability to make their own judgments after several years of study and life.
